Installation of nine sheets
Where architecture “detaches” itself and becomes an object in its own right: a tabernacle, a reliquary, a radiant lamp — also, darkness. We remain drawn to trace those imaginary and real cathedrals back to their limestone origin, to a geology revealed by the marine fossils embedded within them, a geology emerging from aquatic depths; and so we imagine them as spacecraft that do not orbit among planets but float, suspended in the amniotic fluid of vision.
